Raglan LittleJohn MK1

I have been doing a few modifications to my faithful LittleJohn MK1 over the past few months. First off, the lathe itself:

She is a Raglan Little John lathe, serial number 159. She was made in Nottingham, not sure when. The centre height is 5″, and she has power feed for facing and turning. Like all LittleJohn lathes, she has a variable speed drive using a belt and coned pulleys. I was unsure about this lathe when I first got her, having been used to a Boxford ME10A. In practice, she is very versatile and capable of making surprisingly large cuts
