How we work

Visiting and discussing
We will visit you and spend time discussing the problem you are having with your historic machinery and decide the best way forward.

Workshop for stripping and diagnosis
We have a dedicated workshop where we can take time to strip down the piece of machinery and really get to the bottom of the problem.

Agreement with client on work to be done
Before starting any work (and spending any money!), we will contact you to talk through the options and give you an estimate of the work involved.

Reuse and refurbish when possible
Working with old historic machinery it is important to reuse and refurbish as much as possible as often replacement parts are not available.

Search out alternatives for obsolete parts
Using our engineering background we are able to source alternatives for obsolete parts and have built up a reliable resource of companies and websites to help us.

Repair original components
Our priority is to repair original components and we do our best to do that. Rest assured you will always be kept informed and if the price of repair exceeds the price of replacement we will take the most sensible option to keep costs down.

Manufacture new parts when needed
If for any reason we can’t source the parts needed t carry out the repairs we will make them ourselves.
